The aspect of this article that struck me the most was the use of an anonymous feedback tool that employees use to complain (or compliment) their fellow employees.
As presented by the articles author (and important caveat) it appeared to be a source of treating perception and gossip as data. I'm not clear from the article if that is understood within Amazon, and how they handle that downside if it is.
For such a data centered company it seems like an odd mis - I have to wonder if the article just didn't get to how they approach that issue.
