Hey HN! This might seem a little odd of a post, but I've been having a hard time finding work lately. I'm a very passionate software developer with a focus on Python and the Linux web-stack. I'm fairly well-versed in many web best practices, I know the Python standard library pretty well, and I consider myself a pretty easy guy to get along with!

Not trying to use HN for profiteering, but we all need to make a living, right? :) I'd love to talk to anyone, no matter the project, scope, or budget!

You might try placing a comment in the next "who wants to get hired" or "freelancer/seeking freelancer" posts, which are posted automatically on the first weekday of each month by the 'whoishiring' user-id. These are likely to be read by people who are looking to hire someone, and are the official place for this kind of thing on HN.

To look for advertised job openings, try the monthly "who's hiring" post.

To get an idea of what these hiring posts look like, you can look at last month's (which have already been closed to further comments):
