The theory that it was an inside job seems plausible to me, but the reasoning behind the theory that it was a woman seems weak. Unless there is other information that John is keeping from us, assuming gender based on a few word choices doesn't convince me at all. It almost looks like John is grasping at straws while attempting to find _any_ reason to blame a woman for the hack.
