Ask HN: How can I contribute to a hardware startup as an intern?

I am working for a hardware startup, but what I feel is that my bosses aren't much focussed on me and other interns. I firmly believe I can contribute big to this firm. How to gain their trust and how to suport this startup that is having hard time?
