Good luck with that. It's about as likely to succeed as a ban on porn.
OK, I don't normally get annoyed about these kinds of thing, but why the heck is the title of this post 'Woman calls...'? That isn't from the article.

Sure, the campaign leader is Dr Kathleen Richardson, but I don't think there has ever been a post on here that started "Man does X".

A better title would surely be "Robot ethicist calls..."

I mean, I'm not really sure what a "robot ethicist" actually does, but it at least seems more relevant.

Note: Most of these links have "Man does X" in the original headline. In only two cases, the "man" part has been added by the HN submitter.
My thoughts exactly. This "Woman does X" is unnecessary and might turn the discussion in the wrong direction.
90% of sex devices are used by women, and it's not clear to me what is "robot" and what is just "device".

Coincidentally I've never seen women expect anything than raw physical contact from their toys, does it "contribute to detrimental relationships between men and women"?

A much closer future we might create artificial uterus, allowing to gestate child outside of woman body. That will result in huge shift in balance of power between genders - removing much of women power that comes from biology and inability of men to rear children.

I can only imagine outcry of both feminist and traditionalist camps.
