I don't know you, and I don't know your intent. But how this comes across to me is, if I don't give your preferred answer to all the follow up questions, you're going to say that I am racist and unaware of it.

As I said, I don't know your intent. But if that is your intent, I reject the validity of your approach.

Some specific answers:

I would hesitate to hire a programmer who scared me a little. Black has nothing to do with it.

Real racial harmony is when race is just one more thing. It's not ignored, but it's just another piece of information. "He's black. She's Indian and vegetarian. He's got tattoos and ear gauges. He's got big hair. She runs marathons." And we can talk to him or her about race just like we can about marathons or tattoos or vegetarianism.
