Style Lend (YC W14) Is Hiring a First Engineer in NYC

Millennials are leading a migration away from ownership to subscribing and paying for access vs. ownership: Spotify invades our speakers, Netflix our TVs, Uber our curbs, Airbnb our entire homes. Style Lend is the latest player in the on demand service economy helping women monetize their closets through rentals. On average, an American woman buys 64 new pieces of clothing a year–half of which she’ll wear once; accumulating about $50 B worth of items sitting unused in closets.

Engineer: · Experienced with Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks · TDD/BDD we write tests for everything · Solid understanding of OO principles and best practices · All levels welcome - it's about that special person!

Nice to Have: · Experience in building your own company or app · Experience with Front-end JavaScript frameworks, Backbone, React.js, Angular.js · Mobile development experience. iOS dev experience is a huge plus. Our native mobile app is written in swift
