Will Google use the White Space frequency to power its phones? (jungleg.com)

I wrote a blog post today purely thinking out loud if the FCC and/or telcos would have an issue with Google using the white space band for mobile communication, effectively shortcutting the big guys. I've have some interesting comments regarding that there are technical issues using the 700 MHz band for voice and that the telcos would likely sue. What do you guys think?
