Can't blame people with means for planning for everything, but you have to admit this reeks a bit of art imitating life, what with the Bioshock vibe of these residences.
No, this is decidedly NOT planning for everything. I think you're right on with the Bioshock reference.

What about the security and technicians who set this place up and guard it while waiting for tenants to show up? Once the shit hits the fan, why would they keep doing their job or even let anyone else in? Once those fools are dealt with, who will be cooking and serving the food and drinks in that cafe? Who cleans up? After The End, what are you paying those people other than the threat of being kicked out? Do these servants get to bring their families? Either way, isn't it in the interest of these people to kill the zillionaires? And until they decide that, aren't these people basically slaves? How are disputes settled between zillionaire families? Are all those guns controlled by the family with the highest net worth (back when that was a thing)?

Either these shelters represent a complete lack of planning, or the kind of planning that makes you a monster.

Why is the location secret? Would the world's nuclear powers really waste an extra warhead on destroying a bunch of spoiled psychopathic morons?
assumingly so thay dont have to fend of other people that also want to live when it comes down to it.
Once you've given these entrepreneurs their money, what incentive do they have to actually let you in? If the shit hits the fan, you have nothing additional you can offer them and the rule of law has already broken down. Seems like the best course for them would be to shut the door behind them and lock you out.
