Ask HN: Programmer become UX designer

I have been an iOS developer for most of my professional career, but have started thinking about leaving programming as a profession and getting into UX design. I am well versed in using Sketch from my normal work, and am comfortable with Photoshop.

Whats a good path to take to start a new career in this field?
