Fixing the ride sharing problem

I've built a ride sharing marketplace. After polling the target customer bases, I'm more than certain that the problem exists and that RideConnect can solve it.

Today, people are able to call a car service with Uber or Lyft. People can drive for Uber or Lyft and can earn money from it.

Neither of those services allow people to coordinate rides with one another.

When you want to go somewhere, and your friends or friends of friends are also going to a similar, or the same place, you have no mechanism today to coordinate with them to travel together.

Organizations, clubs and groups have no way to coordinate the transportation of their guests to their events today with a smartphone app. They can work with Uber or Lyft, but generally speaking, that's no different from asking for a line of taxis to go about picking up anyone and bringing them to the events.

With RideConnect, we provide a mechanism by which anyone at all can announce their ride needs on a central board, and people in their extended social network can offer them a ride. People can look at the announcements on the RideBoard and decide to offer a ride or ask for a ride.

The value proposition is highest for companies, students, schools and groups, who wish to remain private but at the same time, need to travel. Rather than having 10 cars arrive at a bar, an event or school with one person in it, with RideConnect, they'll be able to coordinate and go in 3 cars.

We need to get the basic app tested as it's working in the shop. I'm not sure how to go about getting beta testers, and so I thought I'd start here.
