I've written a bit about it on the Surface Subreddit; but not really in a single point.
The gist:
MS Announced on the 6th;
I pre-ordered on the 7th [with a ship date of the 26th]
On the 19th; Amex flagged the charge with their fraud prevention system. I authorized the charge with Amex, but the MS system for re-authorizing orders was rejecting it without attempting authorization again. My order was cancelled.
~8 phone calls w/ MS support later ; the order was replaced and I was guaranteed my initial order would ship based on my original ship date, by most of the support techs. The 26th came and went and no sign of the Surface Book and MS Support stopped following up.
The short video is an aggregate of the ship date promises.
I tried to make the video under 4 minutes; but there is also a longer, unlisted, video on the account which I sent to MS Support.
