Ask HN: Is Meteor development slow for anyone else?

I'm working on a small scale Meteor app (1.2.1), and any code change is taking 10-30 seconds to reload. I've noticed plenty of bug reports being filed on GitHub, but I'm not sure how wide-spread the issue is.
