Damn. NatGeo was a big part of my growing up. I had a subscription gifted to me as a young kid, and I read every issue cover to cover, until I was 18. Mostly, I've continued, though not every issue.
It's hard to describe the quality and overall breadth of writing and the clarity of presentation and how that gave a young person a solid grasp on the world, the peoples in it, etc...
Sad day.
And an angry one. This absolutely didn't and shouldn't happen. Perhaps that staff can build something new. I'll sign up right away.
Wow... Just wow... I bet Fox-type "news" and "research" will be shown about some fox-type bullshit stuff but claiming National Geographic-type truth of it.
