Ask HN: Where do you keep your 2FA recovery codes?

Personally, I haven't kept any of them because I can't think of a place that wouldn't be (a) more vulnerable than my phone, which requires biometric access, or (b) in the case of digital storage locations, susceptible as a single point of failure. Does anybody have a good and systematic way of addressing this?
