There seems to be a pent up developer angst that is coming out in this post. I feel a little ranty sometimes myself but generally do so in the context of a beer and close friends who won't take it super seriously.

increasing more open sourced choices can greatly increase anxiety for developers.
I've been doing challenging interactive web development since 2000, and it used to be really, really hard. It's so much easier today to create things I could only dream of back then.
