I love reading comments on these insanely high priced items on Amazon. Makes for great entertainment.

"WOW. Stunning quality, worth the price! It was either saving up for retirement or buy the tv, but it wasn't a tough decision. Amazon Prime shipping only took 62 weeks considering it had to be flown in by helicopter! Added bonus: it came with a huge box which I live in now. No disappointments"

My thoughts were exactly the opposite when reading these comments. It was more like "Amazon should really stop people commenting on articles they didn't buy". Those comments are getting old pretty quickly.
I find myself in the middle - I love reading the joke comments, but I don't see the use case for letting someone review a product that they haven't purchased - Does anyone have any ideas why it would be a positive thing?
I guess having more comments is improving their perceived credibility. It is much easier to add fake reviews in this way too. So it is a win for Amazon and it is a win for their suppliers / producers, until it backfires.
I'd need to take out a mortgage for that.
I saw this TV in Dubai Mall last week. Even with $27/bbl oil prices, they told me they sell about one a week!
$100k and they still charge shipping fees!
