What exactly is missing in our setup that you think is critical?
The reason we don't use GitHub is because we like to be in control of things rather than relaying on someone else's whim. Maybe we could setup a mirror?

Where do I report bug reports? Where can I see the source files? I guess the answer to the last one can be found after digging a little bit in cgit. But you'll have to admit that it looks quite dated compared to GitHub.
I also guess most people don't like mailing lists anymore. While I have nothing against them, try to use HyperKitty http://hyperkitty.readthedocs.org/en/latest/, which looks a lot nicer than the current Pipermail archives.

Either that or use something like Gogs http://gogs.io, which is a lot more familiar (and IMHO more usable) to other developers.

[ 3.2 ms ] story [ 21.7 ms ] threadIn order for this to be a success, I think you should really be using GitHub instead of cgit.
