Poll: How many users have been asked to submit things for social news sites?

I wanted to see how many users on HN have been asked to game HN and possibly why they have been asked? Given the recent article by ReadWriteWeb and others I was just wondering the prevalence of gaming on sites like HN and reddit?

Just an observation; If someone is getting remunerated to post certain articles on here as a paid shill it stands to reason that that person will not reveal this fact.

The obvious question is why would the payee not just sign up and post whatever it is they want posted and save the money. It would only take a few minutes to post something.

Yea I don't understand that either. Why is there middlemen when it costs nearly nothing to post a story?
