Interesting tidbit at the end where the hacker being interviewed said 'if you opened a particular page in Google you got infected', pity he did not mention the page.
More redirection spam by tsecuritytimes that leads to another site that opens a popunder advertisement? Isn't this against the HN rules?

Is this story linked more than the NYT story because TOI have come up with a better headline?
(1) Regarding the (linkjacked) article: there's a much more in-depth treatment of this subject in Misha Glenny's _McMafia_. Both this article and Glenny's are on the "breathless" end of the hype spectrum, though.

(2) "The Security Times" has not only linkjacked this story, but is also a faux publication run by a Florida IT consultancy. It's skeezy to hide this fact. To see this same model done well (both honestly and in terms of execution), check out Threatpost.com.

I could be wrong, but it looks to me that this site is a collection of news stories regarding IT security in a single portal, nothing more, exact same concept as The Drudge Report, would you consider that linkjacking? Judging by the About page, it looks as though they have highly competent and highly certified people posting these stories, and they provide several ways to contact them even publishing a toll free phone # to contact them for feedback. I've never seen a website as open to feedback as this site is. Doesn't appear to me that they are hiding the fact that this is run by a Florida IT consultancy firm, in fact, they link back to the parent company directly on the About page. I personally visit this site several times a week and have learned a ton about what's going on in the IT security realm from it. Most of the stories posted on here offer a lot more information than just the story linked.
