As I progressed in my career in tech I stopped coding about 10 years back. I'm not entirely sure why, but working on legacy systems in maintenance mode for an extended period of time might have killed my love for it. After I got out I always missed it, but getting back to coding after a while as a career move seemed intimidating.

When iPhone came out I tried getting into app development as a hobby. But Objective C seemed extremely difficult to get a hang of (previously C++/C# developer). When Swift came out I was instantly comfortable with the familiar syntax. But since it was new there wasn't enough tutorials and examples to build fun stuff. But now that Swift is maturing I got started on it and it is great fun. However there is a slight shift in my focus.

This time around I'm trying to build a ramp for people in my situation to jump into developing apps. I will attempt to post tutorials on fun little projects that can get folks interested and started with app development.
