Ask HN: No one cares about NYTimes articles

I don't have a NYTimes account, and I'm sure the majority of everyone on hacker news is in the same boat, therefore all of your NYTimes posts on hacker news is a waste of my time. If I'm lucky, (on some days) I'll get to read one good NYTimes article for free, that is, if I didn't already click a bunch of links on hacker news that were also NYTimes articles, which in turn triggers NYTimes' annoying popup ploy to get me to sign up if I'd like to read their mostly non-informative articles (the headlines are just as informative because their writers don't really know how to get to the point anyway).

If no one cares about them, nobody will vote for them and they'll fall through and get ignored.

(Until you mentioned it I wasn't even aware that they have a "paywall", had to check in browser without uBlock to see what you are talking about)

good point, they wouldn't vote if they didn't care... how do you get past the paywall (without paying)? or do you pay?
Stop telling others what they may or may not submit.

Ignore those submissions if you wish. It's not as if there were that many of them. I'm certain you can do that!

And stop abusing Ask HN for useless rants without even a single question.

For 3.25 EUR per week, you get access to the NYTimes full content. The price is really cheap for the quality and the amount of content you get access to.

Most people here make more than 2k per month. I'm sure they can give away 2 cups of coffee per week for world class curated content.

I rarely read front-page columns, because I'm not directly interested in US politics. As a non-native speaker I try to read proper English and the NYTimes delivers :-)
