Why would Eat24/Yelp insist on having support center operations be in SF itself? Wouldn't it make sense to do this job in Omaha or Reno?
She was in a shitty position, and should have looked for other options (not dumping on her, just saying what I would have done). Unfortunately, but not unexpectedly, she lost her job due to this.
Are there lots of companies in SF that do their lowest paid support ops in house in city?
Hopefully she lands on her feet in a better job (maybe a writing job?)

Then of course you hear of people in SF earning $150k-$200k and it sounds like wow! But how much of that goes away by just living there?
While I understand the motivation of the letter, I'd say it's a broken welfare system that is the problem, rather than a greedy CEO.
