Ask HN: iMessage texts from iOS to Windows 10 possible but how tricky?

I've heard of devs writing abstraction layers that when combined with bluetooth profiles can pull iMessage texts from iOS to Windows 10. Has anyone played around with this before? How much work are we talking?
