So in other words, they're basically baiting the media by being as controversial as possible and pushing this 'picture' of themselves in every message. Celebrity internet trolling I guess.
Wouldn't really say that's hacking the media. More common wisdom and good marketing. Being a brash, overly confident contrarian is certainly a great way to get attention.
