It was pretty clear that cryptocat was a product of an enthusiastic and young developer (Nadim) and that it should be treated as such. For context, Nadim has matured and now is working towards a cryptography Ph.D.
It is concerning that Thomas feels justified in continually attacking Nadim. A professional, particularly a public professional, should treat people with respect.
