Ask HN: Best practise for common asset repo and automated deploy to CDN?

We're using CloudFront and I'm thinking: git repo, TeamCity config, some scripts, etc. What ingredients am I missing?

Can anyone point me to blogs or general advice as to how this is usually done?

We are a small startup and we need an easy way to centrally manage these shared assets (heavy site/email resources) and then deploy them to the CDN when changes are made.
