Ask HN: Lightweight CM tool for containers

Hi HN,

I'm somewhat familiar with CF tools like Chef and Ansible. I'd like a simple tool that I can install inside Docker containers, and run a bunch of apt-get, pip and git clone commands. I'm looking for something with low cognitive load. I thought Ansible was simple (having looked at it over a year ago) but today it seems fairly complex. I also hate the cooking metaphor's of chef. Any suggestions as to the right tool for the job? I'm minutes away from just writing a bash script.
