I'd rather seen this formulated as "Belief that some fields require brilliance may keep people out" as the article in one paragraph notes this also applies to Asian-Americans vs African-Americans, so it seems to be more a case of "groups of people are pushed out of fields where the bias is that they need to be brilliant to be there", but given HN frowns upon editorializing titles I left it as it was.
