While I don't follow the autonomous vehicle news too closely, this is the first article I seen that really directly confronts the potential limitations of AVs in edge cases, and how that may affect development of them and how they're used. If would have helped to see some discussion of wether the taxi fleet approach could be financially feasible in less densely populated parts of the US.
