The word "muscle" is never used. The acronym "BMI" is also avoided. I still can't wrap my head around all these anti-exercise fluff pieces I've read over the past few years.

Someone can be the same exact weight that they were months ago - with the only difference between a completely different look: they are now carrying about 30lbs of muscle instead of 30lbs of fat. They'll look very different even if they lost no weight.

I don't know of anyone's goal of "weight loss" that does not include "being healthier" or "having a more fit-looking/aesthetic body" unless they have what are referred to as disorders: bolemia, anorexia, etc. If your goal is pure weight loss, including loss of muscle, consult a physician and go on an extreme caloric deficit diet. Keep that up and you will be shedding weight. You'll also feel like shit and be less healthy - but hey!! you'll lose 10lbs more than that chum who's exercising!
