Seeking Lead PHP Engineer for SAAS (Buffer Competitor)

Hey everyone,

My co-founder and I are looking to bring an experienced PHP Developer onto the team. We need someone who cares a lot about end-product quality and who has a great attention to detail.

We are working with a very good development firm in Ukraine but, like all outsourcers, they don't care so much about deploying buggy software to Production or about pixel-level imperfections. We need someone who will care about the end-user experience and help build the product full-time.

I think this would be a very good role for someone who is looking to replace their job with equity and profit-share, which I conservatively expect would earn them $5-10,000 USD per month within the first 9 months.

I bootstrapped my last SAAS to ~$30,000 USD MRR/profit within 12 months and my co-founder's experience is even more impressive. We both left (sold) our previous SAAS' in order to start this one, as it is a much, much bigger opportunity. We are investing 50,000 USD+ ourselves and conservatively hope to grow it to 50k-100k MRR within the first year.

We aren't trying to save money so much as align incentives. On that note: does anyone have experience offering outsourcers profit-share or equity on top of their salary in order to align incentives and motivate attention to detail?
