Ask HN: Getting a Mac for learning iOS development

Hi, I've been a professional software developer for a few years now and want to learn iOS development.

The cost of a Mac is quite high, but I'm planning to get the 13 inch retina with 16GB RAM (hopefully this will last me ~4 years) to recover the investment.

What do you guys think? Do you suggest any other alternatives?
