Nova Credit (YC S16) CS/Engineering Internship

Company Overview: Nova is a FinTech startup founded at Stanford with a mission to enable immigrants access to credit to realize their potential. We are building the world’s first cross-border credit reporting agency that connects US lenders to international consumer credit data, so that they can underwrite more immigrants more fairly. We’re a team of internationals with first-hand experience of credit challenges in the US, and we’re passionate about solving this problem while stretching ourselves to grow and build an amazing team.

What you’ll do: Lead or co-develop a number of projects on product. Examples are: - Brainstorming and implementing core credit analytics features and scoring algorithms - Work with our CTO to drive product design and execution. You will have autonomy over a project you find interesting. This can be a full-stack, front-end or back-end - Implementing a solid foundation for the scaling up of our systems - We’re open to new ideas so if there are other projects you want to do - let's talk!

You’ll be a great fit if you... - Have personal experience and/or empathy with the challenge of accessing credit - Have experience in web-development, preferably node.js and/or front-end - Excel at execution and feel a sense accomplishment when a project (and product) launches - Are interested, and possibly have experience, in the intersection of finance + technology - Have studied or are studying CS/Engineering

Key internship details: - Minimum of 8 weeks between July 5 - September 30 - Stipend of $400/week
