Best place to find new apps?

Product Hunt used to be my home page. It had a nice, curated list of new apps that had just been released. But it's completely useless now.

The "Today" feed is full of junk posts, ebooks, and podcasts. Even selecting the "Tech" category does not get rid of the spam. If I select a specific topic I'm looking for such as mac apps or developer tools, I get a stale list of old apps.

I feel like everyone else must have moved on to something better. What is currently the best site to find out about all of the cool apps that just got released?
