The problem I see for the future, is what or who determines that traffic, content and etc are "lawful?" WE'll probably start seeing licensing required to ensure that your content is lawful.
Does a Library in the USA hold "lawful" material and information? Is it even an issue?
We need to treat the internet as we would our Public Libraries. Information should be free to move about. It should be low to no cost to the user. Take the billions we spend on military & build a (fault tolerant)fiber network that connects every City, neighborhood & block in the 50 Continental United States. It can be done.
Remove the private, corporate aspect from our internet. It's time to embrace an open society where information and ideas can flow freely.
Awesome news of course! (There's going to be SC appeals but I doubt it will change much given the current makeup of the SC.) At least now the cable industry should give up on their wrong headed ways and find other, better and fair ways to make more profits.
