Ask HN: I am being sexually excited when facing coding problems. What do I do?

Hi guys,

I am suspecting myself of having some symptoms of ADHD on top of that I am having some issues when I encounter hard problems that require patience and focus. Like...whenever I encounter a problem that requires some time I feel...sexually stimulated.

Looking at the problem that's really hard sexually excites me and distracts me from the original goal (solving the problem).

I have found out that smartdrugs (piracetam) do help and allow me to focus but the effects are not long term so this is not a solution.

I really do not know what to do this really prevents me from advancing on projects and I often feel the need to relieve myself.

I have tried almost everything to stop it. I have tried to regularly exercise, eating soy (to lower the testosterone), smart drugs....But none of this helps!!!

Is there a way to stop this ?
