Teespring are looking for senior engineers to form the foundation of our new engineering team in London. This is a rare opportunity in that we have a fast-paced, small-team feeling here, but also benefit from being part of a growth-stage silicon valley company.

What does our engineering team do? At Teespring, "full stack" means anything from controlling digital printers, to delightful e-commerce experiences, to building out our 3rd-party API. It’s up to you to pick the challenge which excites you the most! Our main project in the UK is one of the most challenging and impactful in the whole company: to lead the way from a traditional Rails app and towards a multi-service architecture.

What is the day-to-day job like? We take code quality and engineering efficiency seriously. Engineers pair about 70% of the time, and we have a robust but lightweight code review process. Nothing goes to production without automated testing. We do 2-week sprints, with engineers' input a key part of the planning process.

Our Environment: Modern Rails stack, React.js, TDD/BDD with RSpec/Cucumber, Go.

Will the UK engineers be a second-tier team behind the US? We've had remote engineers at Teespring for several years, so have already built a strong culture of discussions and decisions happening online. Also, the two founding members of the UK engineering team were previously based in San Francisco, so we have good personal and professional connections with everyone we need to work with.

What do we offer? Work with talented, collaborative, and entrepreneurial teams. Generous stock options. Free (delicious) catered lunch every day. Fully stocked kitchen with drinks, snacks, and bar. Training and career development (£1,700 a year budget for courses, attending conferences, etc.). Social activities, office happy hours, ping pong tournaments, and endless free t-shirts!
