I've seen this posted elsewhere and the title always feels misleading. This wasn't an autonomous/self-driving car. Those aren't available to consumers yet. This car had an assist mode.
I've heard the Honda lane assist will start beeping at you if you remove your hands from the wheels. It's not clear from these articles how this worlds on the Tesla exactly.
I've heard that a lot of these safety features means peoples' guards could be let down and makes people less likely to react if something goes wrong.
