Ask HN: What type of small hardware would YOU need?

I've been playing around with hardware as part of a ultrasound imaging side project ( https://hackaday.io/project/9281-murgen ) and I'm having fun with hardware.

I'll be having more time soon and will be happy to help on and/or hack hardware for side-projects. So, what is your hardware scratch/need you would like to scratch?
