Ask HN: Choosing Human judgement over AI in categorizing incoming messages

In Email, Labels are private thing to receiver. So the entire message organizing work stays on the receiver side. So we rely on receiver/mail filters/AI to categorize the messages once we received it.

I understand building AI based solutions are complex and needs expertise.

Formal tries to do the organizing in a different approach. ( https://www.formalapp.com )

Formal shows a list of receiver entered tags to sender to pick the right one.

I admit, this is not technically complex, just showing a list of things a human entered to another human to pick. But this works.

Does HN appreciate this kind of approach ?
