Sterling was resisting arrest and had a fucking gun on him. Garner died after being put in a choke hold for resisting arrest.
Maybe one of or both of the homicides were unjustified, but characterizing it as being "killed for being black while selling (cigarettes & CDs)" is irresponsible race-baiting. It's click-baity pandering to the lowest common denominator 5 second attention-span mob.
Police are justified in using deadly force any time they have reasonable cause to believe someone is putting their life in danger.
Resisting arrest, while carrying a gun, poses a very high risk of creating the perception among the arresting police officer and the officer shooting and killing you.
