Rescale (YC W12) Is Hiring a DevOps Engineer

We are building a platform to allow engineers and scientists to run simulation workflows in the cloud. Our goal is to empower our users to design products quicker and faster by making it easy for them to access computational resources as needed. Currently, our user base spans a number of different industries including automotive and aerospace.

Our stack consists of a set of Python and Java services deployed on AWS. In turn these services configure and manage on-demand, isolated HPC clusters hosted on a number of different infrastructure providers. All of this needs to be automated and monitored. This is where you come in. We are looking for a software engineer to lead our build and deployment automation efforts.

Qualifications:

- Experience managing a fleet of servers

- Experience with a configuration management tool (salt, puppet, chef, ansible, etc)

- Proficiency in a modern scripting language (python, ruby, etc)

- Linux and shell-scripting proficiency

- Opinionated but not a jerk about it
