I'm slightly worried with this that the news is definitely not about the person doing the shooting. Is somebody sitting in a car on a public road really justification in the US to use lethal force? Or, indeed, ANY force?

Right? Why isn't the sheriff arresting the person who confronted and shot at a couple of teenagers playing a game? How many burglars sit in a car staring at their phones?
How much u wanna bet that the guy would shoot at them anyways? Only in twisted US reality can authorities use this incident as an opportunity to advise on the safety of playing a game on a cellphone
