Ask HN: What are some well-designed websites?

I'm asking in particular about stuff for hackers and/or text-based sites (so less about images/animation/innovation, more about textual content and reading) but feel free to comment with others.

I see the Web Design in 4 minutes post[1] generated quite a bit of criticism about design, especially contrast.

So instead of criticism, how about some well-designed sites loved by HN?
