Ask HN: Open source efforts for a distributed machine learning compiler?

1 points by braderhart ↗ HN
I know this is a broad question but are there any open source efforts to create a distributed compiler capable of using machine learning with language ontology in conjunction with a more natural and humanistic development language? Possibly something that can take advantage of a distributed cluster of CPUs, GPUs, and ASIC processors via OpenCL or similar? I look at languages like Rust and C++ and realize that they are a challenging entry to development, but that they provide a lot of benefits. However, it seems that most new developers are taught JavaScript these days. Is there an opportunity for compromise?
