Some are speculating that it may have been a dead man's switch, others that it was simply a file checksum for a partner to verify a file against.
There have been no more tweets from Snowden since that tweet was made at 12:14PM Aug 5 2016.
I'm generally concerned/curious as to what is going on and can't find anything solid.

This could be a SHA256 or a SHA3 hash of a "commitment message".
I have seen this done by people who then some time later post the original message, to prove their suspicion of something since that earlier date.
