Ask HN: How do you communicate code changes to other business units?

Say we use JIRA for agile development and git for version control along with CI/CD tools such as jenkins.

We deploy a lot of code so how do we communicate to other business units stuff that has gone out? I see a lot of of 'hey did such and such go out?' in chatrooms but also, how does support/sales/etc know the work we're doing if we don't communicate it out?

We have not implemented a changelog but that seems like it's developer focused which would not be useful (unless we published it) to other business units.

I'm curious how other teams are solving this - thanks!
