This is called Boustrophedon [1]. I don't know if I've seen it for English text before.

I know of a very similar writing style where

row one has a gradient from black to darkgray

row two has a gradient from darkgray to black

row three has a gradient from black to darkray

repeating indefinitely. It helps you to move to the right next line. Not sure what it's called though

With Boustrophedon you don't have to search to find the beginning of next line.
