Ask HN: Alternatives to Skype To Go?

Skype To Go is no longer working[1], and as far as I know, there has been no information from Skype as to why, or when the service will be restored. I'm wondering whether there are any startup alternatives out there. I basically used Skype To Go the same way you use a calling card, except that it allowed me to call anywhere in the world for a flat fee of US$10/month. I'm aware of Google Voice, but I would rather not use them.
